Obituary of Diane VanDyk

VANDYK - Diane (nee Visscher) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at Valleyview Home on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Leo VanDyk. Diane is survived by her children Lori Ruessink (Brian) of St. Thomas, Steve VanDyk (Colleen) of Nairn, Kevin VanDyk (Carole) of Brampton and Nicole Fitzgerald (Wade) of St. Thomas. Loving grandmother of Kelsey, Connor, Trent and Maggie Ruessink, Jordan, Kenzie, Keegan, and Avary VanDyk, Ashleigh, Jaden, Josh, Zachary, Zara, and Emma VanDyk, and Nathan and Lyla Fitzgerald. Diane is survived by her mother Lisa Visscher. Missed by siblings Arend Visscher (Joanne), Henry Visscher (Nancy), Mary Anne Cross (Doug), Nick Visscher (Julie) and sibling in laws Bert VanDyk (late Nellie), Helen VanderHeyden (Pete), Tina VanderWetering (late Harry), and Henry VanDyk (Anna Marie). Diane will also be missed by many other in laws, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father Henry Visscher. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at First Christian Reformed Church 320 Elm St, St. Thomas on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
