Well MOM is was a great ride while it lasted. First and for most want you to know I MISS you with all my heart.
Mom we didn't always see eye to eye, but I did always look to you for guidance and love. I know you were so proud of the man I became and proud of my family.
One of my greatest memories of you is when I told you I was getting married you were so shocked but so happy at the same time. You couldn't wait for the day to come. When that day did come you have the biggest glow bigger them my glow even the way you look at me told me all I needed to know that you were so happy me and Alicia.
You were so happy to hear we were having a baby boy Alex. I know you loved seeing him. My biggest sadness is that you will not see him grow up that I can not share photos of him with you anymore and hear all about it from someone I don't really know because you told them all about him. I am happy you came to Baton Rouge when Alex was just months old a time I will not forget.
I miss our video chats, I know I cut cut them sort on you hear and there as you called almost every night. I very much regret that now. I still remember our last one Alex was happy to see you so was I as we hadn't talked for a few days as I was combining beans. That night I wanted to talk a little longer but it was late and you let me go. I will never forget our last call MOM. I love you so very much and I will never forget you. I will be sure to tell Alex all about you as he grows up.
Love you MOM and I will see you again XOXOXOXO

Larry, Troy and Mark … so very sorry to hear of Lynda’s passing (hearing too late to attend the funeral). Remembering the days we lived in the apartment in London and getting to know Lynda and the group of ladies who met on Wednesday mornings for coffee. After moving on from there, we managed to keep in touch from time to time over the years, but years could easily pass between visits. Lynda’s smiling face and laughter will be remembered, as will her kindness and hospitality. Keep all those beautiful memories with you going forward.

I met Lynda in AZ in the FAC. She approached me with her friendly smile and said" we might be cousins". As my last name is Flood. We became friends immediately. I was quite new at quilting and she was such an inspiration, helped me and taught me so much. Since I married a Flood and Larry has Flood relatives . It would be our husband's that would be kin. We hoped one day we could attend the Flood reunion but Covid hit , and health issues made us change our course. I also hoped we could get together this last summer, as we live in Buffalo now. But. Closed borders put a stop to that. I will think of her often with a warm heart. Miss her in so many ways. Prayers to your family for wonderful memories and peace.

We just learned about the tragic passing of Lynda Jenner, a sweet friend of ours. My whole family and I are saddened to hear this terrible news. Although we missed her celebration of life (but managed to watch the livestream the next day), we take comfort in the many wonderful memories that we have of Lynda.
In August of 2017, we had the pleasure of meeting a sweet couple who were camping across the street from us at the Pinery. Although they were my parents’ age, we hit it off instantly. My daughter Emma, who would have been only 8 at the time, was drawn to Lynda because she was just learning to sew and would say “Mamma, there’s a lady across the street sewing at her picnic table!” Lynda must have seen her looking and called her over. Over the next week or so, she would show Emma how her machine could embroider letters and make neat designs. We spent our time together sewing, learning new games (Ticket to Ride & Sequence), enjoying campfires, and we even dragged our new friends (pre-surgery) down to the lake at dusk to watch the sunset over Lake Huron… except it was too cloudy to see anything that day (oops). We really enjoyed our time together! We would later learn that after we left to go back home, Lynda went over to our vacated site and took all the little rocks Emma had painted as keepsakes.
The following summer, Lynda and Larry didn’t make it out to the Pinery to camp, so in July of 2018, with a lot of encouragement from Lynda, we made a detour on our way home from Grand Bend and visited them on the farm. For anyone who knows Lynda, you’ll know that she was always so hospitable! She went out of her way to prepare a nice meal for us before we had to get back on the road. That day will forever be remembered by my family. Lynda and Larry showed us around the farm, we fed the cows, she showed Emma her sewing room and they made a little project together, and then later in the day, Mark brought the kids out for a ride in the combine while he was harvesting wheat. For little city kids like mine, this is still a core memory of theirs!
In June of 2021, when our daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis, just like a concerned family member, Lynda called me immediately and wanted to know how Emma was doing. That led to us making plans to visit them the following month at their new place in Strathroy. There too, even though it was just for one day, we were welcomed with open arms! During our visit, we chatted, shared stories, played games (Quirkle & Cards), ordered pizza, and had a lovely day together!
Although we’ve only ever spent a total of about 7-8 afternoons together, one thing is certain… Lynda was a spectacular human being. She loved her family fiercely, always telling wonderful stories of her travel adventures with Larry, and she beamed when talking about her sons, her daughter-in-laws, and especially her three grandchildren. Lynda was also a very loyal friend; She was that friend who never forgot to reach out… and she loved seeing everyone on Facetime. She was very generous, always offering us beautiful handmade gifts (hot pads, pillowcases, pencil cases, wallet, …). She was also very creative in the kitchen, always smiling about the contents of her brownies (beans?!?!) and would make us homemade Trail Mix to enjoy during our visit. She had a contagious laugh, a beautiful smile, and a great sense of humour… I remember her joking around with the employee from the pizza store while placing her order over the phone. Last but not least, she had this wonderful ability to meet new people and make them feel as though they had been part of her circle for YEARS. Whether it be through quilting clubs, community groups, or even just campground neighbours, Lynda was always looking to bring people together. I can only begin to imagine how many lives she has touched during her lifetime and how many people, just like me, have amazing memories of this kind, caring woman.
Lynda, you will be greatly missed by many. We hope you’re smiling down on us from heaven!
Sending our love to you, Larry. Mark and Troy, we hope you and your families are able to find solace in the happy memories your mom was able to offer so many! Will be thinking of you all over the coming months!!
Sincerely,
Carole, Jean-Luc, Mathieu and Emma Aucoin

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Although I did not see Lynda on a regular basis when I was lucky enough to she always made me feel like the most important person in the room.
Her kindness and gentleness always reminded me of my Grandfather Russ Prong and also of my mom Doreen Baldwin.
There is something to be said for having a Prong upbringing to share kindness and compassion with the world. She did this each and everytime I was lucky enough to be around her. She will be missed.
