Obituary of John Andrew Armstrong

ARMSTRONG- John Andrew passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the age of 84.  John is survived by his loving wife Caren Armstrong (nee Reeb); by his son Ken of Ottawa; and by his daughter Lisa (Sebastien) Gagnon of St. George; and by his granddaughters Chelsea and Mackenzie Gagnon.  John was born in Cottam, Ontario to the late William and Gwendolyn Armstrong.  John was a valued member of the Arthur Voaden Secondary School teaching staff for many years which gave him the opportunity to help shape many young lives.  He was also a long time and very active member of New Vision Community Church.  Cremation had taken place and a private interment of ashes will be held on a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or New Vision Community Church would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
