Obituary of Heather Christine Kaufmann

KAUFMANN-SEELISCH- Heather Christine of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the age of 51.  Heather will always be loved and deeply missed by her husband Ralph and her son Liam.  She is survived by her sister Janice (Chad) Doiron, and her children Brooke, Maria & Eric; by her parents Harold and Norma Kaufmann; by her mother-in-law Edith Seelisch (late Werner); by her siblings-in-law Sonya (Rick) Hennige, Bianca (Mike) Wildfong, Sabrina (Jeff) Windatt, and Andreas (Jennifer) Seelisch; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Heather thoroughly enjoyed her time teaching in Taiwan and at the S.T.E.A.M. Education Centre, spending time working in her garden, and creating art.  She and the family greatly appreciated the many people in the support team both the medical and nonmedical.  She was an example of positivity and kindness to all that knew her.   Cremation has taken place and a service to celebrate Heather’s life will be held at Central United Church 135 Wellington Street, St. Thomas on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 7:30 pm.  Interment of ashes will be held in the Capital Memorial Gardens, Ottawa on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m..  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  If desired, donations to Canadian Cancer Society-Wheels of Hope would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca.
